Local Father's Day Ideas
Father's Day is around the corner. If you are celebrating a special someone on the 20th, we have put together a list of experiences or shops to visit in LoLo to make the day complete!

Picnic in the park
Order some food for takeaway, bring a blanket and enjoy the day parkside. Waterfront Park offers gorgeous city views and there's even a place to bring puppy along with the new dog park just to the north. Looking for an idea for some takeaway? Here's a list of local restaurants:
Visit a brewery!
Lower Lonsdale is quickly becoming a real "Ale Trail" with a number of great establishments popping up each offering great beers and good food. Here are a few to bring home or visit with pops: eBike the Spirit Trail and beyond
  • Reckless Shipyards offer rentals to tour the area and even head over the Lions Gate to ride around Stanley Park

Whatever you do, enjoy the day and give a little love to the dads in your life.

Lonsdale Artisan Farmers Market: May - October
Did you know that there's a farmer's market on the East Plaza of Lonsdale Quay this weekend? On Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm, May through October you can stroll through the market and find wonderful and delicious local items. Here's the list of local vendors to support this season:

The People's Path
Another great outdoor activity during this time of social distancing is checking out the trails. The Spirit Trail has been an incredible collaboration between the City of North Vancouver, First Nations, North Shore municipalities and the provincial and federal governments. But did you know the story behind the logo?

"Shewalh Stelmexw (Sha-woth Stol-molth) – Squamish for ‘People’s Path’
The Spirit Trail logo represents the connections the trail creates between communities and their natural surroundings. The simple hand-drawn strokes of the logo merge human traits with the distinctive outlines of the North Shore landscape in a style that references the stone carvings of our Native ancestors."

So get out and enjoy the ‘People’s Path’

Lower Lonsdale Has Beer

With COVID restrictions easing and Lower Lonsdale fast becoming a brewery hotspot, I thought I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this very cool reason to live in the heart of it all. Here is my list of Lower Lonsdale's finest places for tasty suds.
